The intern will contribute to the overall success of the Connections ministry by embodying the mission, vision, and values (DNA) of Forest Hill Church. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist the Discipleship team in recruiting, training, and celebrating Connection volunteers. Provide care and support to first-time guests, including those from the Atrium area and Next Gen. Support individuals interested in Bridge Groups, volunteering, membership, and Baptism. Collaborate with Connections teams and share best practices to enhance ministry success across campuses. Manage the new guest assimilation process using Growth Method. Contribute to social media efforts by collaborating with ministry departments on posts and interactions. Regularly review and improve new guest procedures to ensure efficiency and quality. Assist in the development and maintenance of Connections environments. Preferred Qualifications: Willingness to learn about volunteer development and training trends. Knowledge of Scripture and biblical theology. Experience in a hospitality or volunteer ministry environment is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage in meaningful conversations. Effective communication skills with diverse audiences and age groups. Attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management systems. Ability to advocate for community and spiritual connections. Capable of lifting up to 20 lbs and standing for extended periods.
