    Job Details Christie at the Fields (LLC) - Champaign, IL Full Time High School $17.83 - $24.52 Hourly 1st Shift Administrative/ClericalGeneral Summary of Duties Christie Clinic's department of Histology is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant at the Fields clinic from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements.This position will require the ability to travel to other clinics, as needed, to support the Histology department. Provide a variety of secretarial duties, as well as specific lab department related tasks to the Pathology. Job Qualifications and Expectations JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all the duties assigned.) Perform basic secretarial/clerical duties. Answer routine Laboratory/Pathology inquiries. Answer telephones, take messages and provide departmental information to appropriate sources. Triage phone calls when appropriate to Laboratory personnel. Collect specimens into LIS and print labels. Pathology billing Enter test results or scan reports from Reference labs. Fax reports to outside Providers as needed. Order office and clinical supplies. Assist in the care and maintenance of office equipment. Maintain Pathologist schedule. Send/Receive Pathology cases from external labs. File Pathology orders and reports. Assign Quality Control cases to the Pathologist. Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner. Process specimens to send to reference lab. Verify orders, insurance, and labeling. Perform related work as required. Potential for travel to other lab locations. Mileage will be reimbursed after employee submits to supervisor. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Health related education CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: None TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work may require sitting for long periods of time. Also, stooping, bending and stretching for files or supplies may be necessary. Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds may be required. Hearing must be within normal range and vision correctable to 20/20. It may be necessary to view and type on a computer screen for long periods of time. Work may be stressful.
