Length of Employment: The term of employment for all student work study jobs is the beginning of the academic year to the end of the academic year at the end of the Spring semester. Both supervisors and student workers can end their employment at any time throughout this time frame. All individuals eligible for student work study must be enrolled in and maintain a minimum of six (6) credit hours of enrollment throughout their employment and remain in good academic standing as outlined by school policies and federal financial aid guidelines.
JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Head Men and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Coach or their designee on their coaching staff, the Men's and Women Track and Field and Cross Country Assistant is responsible for assisting with all game day and practice activities in addition to overall team management.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
* To understand and commit to the Mission of the College ~ Dodge City Community College provides a student-centered learning environment where students can achieve their educational, personal, and career goals.
* Assist coaching staff and athletic administration with team management and facility management for both competition days and practices including, but not limited to, team laundry, sanitizing/cleaning of facilities and equipment and clean up in locker rooms and other facilities.
* Assist with preparing equipment for both competitions and practices for the Men's and Women Track and Field and Cross Country team or other teams/events as assigned by the supervisor and/or athletic administration.
* Assist with game day operations as assigned by supervisor and/athletic administration including, but not limited to, ticket taking, scoreboard operations, working the concession stands, filming, etc.
* Assist with any office work or administrative assistant duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or athletic administration including, but not limited to, office work, copying of team materials, etc.
* All other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or athletic administration.

Required Qualifications
* High school diploma/GED
* Must be enrolled in and maintain six (6) credit hours at Dodge City Community College.
* Must remain in good academic standing.
* Available in the evenings and on weekends.

* Ability to follow detailed instructions.
* General knowledge of athletics.
* Self motivated.
Physical Qualifications
* Ability to bend, stoop, jump, kneel stand, walk and be on your feet for 3 hours a day to demonstrate sport.
* Ability to carry equipment needed to and from practice and games.
* Ability to ambulate and navigate stairs and ramps throughout the campus complex.
