To flourish in this role, you will:
Participate in the creation and maintenance of a therapeutic milieu according to each child's treatment plan and agency philosophy.
Be responsible for providing quality care and treatment to children, responding sensitively and proactively to the individual treatment and educational needs of the children.
Support the child during transitions from one activity to the next such as to music and PE.
Support the classroom teacher, providing one-on-one or small group lesson support.
Support the children's morning routine to aid in a successful day at school!
Qualifications:
Required
Skills and abilities are typically acquired through two years of related work experience such as Paraprofessional, childcare, Head Start, and respite care providers.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate or bachelor's degree in social science or closely related field is preferred but not required.
19 years or older
Valid Montana Driver's License (or obtain within 60 days of employment)
Must pass a Background check prior to start date

Minimum Qualifications for GS-08
Specialized Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service that included experience such as:

* Collecting and analyzing data from law enforcement databases.
* Researching detainee history using multiple sources to establish identity and citizenship.
* Coordinating escorts and transportation associated with deportation or removal activities.
* Reviewing bond cases to determine status and taking appropriate action to continue, cancel, or breach.
Typing Requirement
In addition to meeting the minimum qualification requirements, you must show possession of the ability to type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample, with three or fewer errors. You may self-certify your proficiency in the Occupational Questionnaire.

The Treatment Assistant will follow policies and procedures, all rules and instructions regarding the therapeutic milieu and routines.

Check in with prior staff for any resident report and receive any added assignments.
Supervise resident AM/PM care (medication disbursement, medication intake and medication recording (MAR)
Maintain residents' schedule for shift.
Asleep until 5:30 a.m.
Awaken by 7:00 a.m.
By 7:30 a.m. breakfast is to be made and available for service for residents
Observe and assure adherence to all house rules
Assist with urine drug screen when directed to do so. Assist with paperwork of urine tests
Complete room searches when requested by Clinical Director
Report any resident needs or requests to oncoming shift staff
Reorient residents to their responsibilities when necessary
Maintain a professional relationship with residents
Report any disruptive behavior or violations that occur during your shift in the daily log
Communicate any concerns to oncoming staff your fellow staff members is a vital part of this position
Room checks are to be done every 2 hours unless there is reason to believe that they need to be done more often
No resident is to be outside past 10:00 p.m. on weekdays and 11:00 p.m. on weekends
No resident is to be outside until 5:30 a.m. (Allowed outside between 5:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.)
The TA person is never to leave the property during working hours unless there is someone to oversee his/her responsibilities.
In the case of a medical emergency 911 is to be called. Staff are to oversee the assistance to the resident until such time as the EMT is in control of the situation.
Other residents are never allowed to leave the premises with the afflicted resident. TA is to ensure this policy.

Attendance Requirements:
Treatment Assistants will be expected to have flexible hours that meet client scheduling needs. The scheduling of staff meetings and training meetings may necessitate variations in schedules. Permanent changes in an employee's work schedule will be provided to the employee in writing with an explanation why the change was made. Scheduling is the responsibility of the employer and will be based on the needs of the people served by the agency.
