The Data Center Technician I will perform routine maintenance under general supervision. The role involves operating various maintenance and mining tools and equipment, as well as performing other related tasks as directed by the Associate Manager and/or Manager of Data Center Operations. Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following: Operations Management: Monitor, maintain, and optimize all critical data center systems, including power distribution units, UPS systems, cooling infrastructure, backup generators, and fire suppression systems to ensure continuous and efficient mining operations. Carry out basic miner repairs and maintenance, flash firmware on miners, and handle associated miner tools and equipment. Perform general facility duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Beginner to intermediate knowledge of data center infrastructure, including electrical systems, cooling systems, and network architecture, specifically within the context of Bitcoin mining operations. Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues related to power, cooling, and network systems. Knowledge of data center best practices, standards, and maintenance procedures is preferred but not required. Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to react quickly to critical incidents. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and team collaboration. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. Familiarity with safety standards, energy efficiency practices, and compliance regulations in data center operations. Bitcoin mining experience is a plus. Proficiency in English is required. A basic understanding of IP addressing, subnets, and small electronics or medium to low-voltage electrical systems is a plus.
