Job Summary:
This is an entry level position for an energetic candidate looking to build a career in HumanResources. There will be a focus on recruiting and onboarding with exposure to other areas of HR.
Assist and collaborate with the HumanResources Manager to uphold HumanResources practices and objectives that will provide a high energy, high performance culture that emphasizes, safety, quality, productivity, goal attainment, empowerment and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. Supports the plant humanresources functions including recruitment, maintaining records and providing administrative support necessary to fulfill the plant goals and objectives while abiding within federal and state laws and company guidelines.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Acts as first point of contact for applicants
* Conducts daily pre-screening of applicants
* Schedules and conducts on-site interviews
* Produces and submits recruiting metrics and reports to the HR Manager.
* Responsible for data entry, filing and scanning of documents.
* Conducts recruitment effort for designated positions, including conducting pre-screening, scheduling interviews, providing plant tours, conducting reference checks and coordinating the pre-employment testing.
* Assists the HR Manager with recruitment activities such as job postings, advertising and sourcing to foster applicant flow and potential candidates.
* Research, registers and attend job fairs and other recruitment opportunities, including the transportation of materials and complete set-up and tear down.
* Assist withs on-boarding process, including announcements, pre-hire paperwork, orientation and plant tours for new employees.
* Assists the HR Manager with all administrative tasks as needed and other duties as assigned.

Understands and makes effective use of systems and platforms used by the department: ticketing, Oracle, Canvas, Flickr, Canva, etc.
Manages all aspects of the Box Office and supervises Box Office assistants.
Responsible for all aspects of Front of House for all events.
Trains and manages Front of House staff for events.
Supervises two department student assistants.
Manages and coordinates schedules and calendars for spaces.
Coordinate event planning and management, including organizing travel and accommodations for departmental conferences, supporting internal department workshops, productions, and receptions, assisting with scheduling and logistics for company meetings, and coordinating with vendors for services and supplies.
Performs other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
A clear understanding and commitment to the Reformed perspective and mission of Dordt University and the ability to clearly articulate and communicate the mission effectively.

* Schedule meetings, answering calls, maintaining supplies, and distributing mail
* Ability to provide Administrative support to 80+ TSSC contract staff members
* Circulate paperwork or forms for proper approvals
Special Skills/Requirements:
* Prior experience with maintaining confidential data/information highly desired
* Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, Word, and Excel
* Possess effective oral and written communication skills, please submit a cover letter
* Experience as a Government Contractor a plus
* Must have self-confidence and interpersonal skills to effectively work with internal and external customers; exercises initiative and tact
* Ability to work with a team of AdministrativeAssistants supporting over 450 TSSC Contract Staff as a primary AdministrativeAssistant as well as backing up the rest of the team
* Position will be 40 hours per week, onsite at Earth Resources Observation Science Center (EROS)
Experience and/or Education in lieu of these qualifications will be reviewed for applicability to meet these requirements.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
* Three years of continuous residency in the US for issuance of a Government Security credential
* The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a national agency check and background investigation after hire to obtain a badge for government facility access and user account
