SAFETY MANAGEMENT:
Develop, introduce, implement, and monitors adherence to the DC's Safety culture, policies, and procedures in compliance with state, federal and local laws and regulations.
Oversee injury and accident investigations.
Analyzes injuries and accidents to identify the root cause.
Identifies injury and accident trends and assists various departments in the implementation of reduction strategies.
Acts as primary interface with groups such as government agencies or insurance companies. Represents the Company's interests as directed and approved at regulatory agency proceedings.
Communicates risk control and safety issues and objectives to management and associates.
Works closely with 3rd party worker's compensation claims administrator interacting on a frequent basis to provide assistance in managing claims. With proper controls in place, collaborates with claims administrator to provide claim settlement authority.
Manages the employee return-to-work programs, modified duty programs, and medical case management programs.
Works closely with property and liability insurance consultants, coordinating inspections, evaluating recommendations, and ensuring completion of recommendations.
Implements corporate directives, e.g. ergonomic observations, hazard assessments, approved practices, data and metrics analyses.
Develops, facilitates, coordinates and monitor safety training programs. Monitors training of new associates with respect to safety policies and procedures.
Ensures Distribution Center security program has necessary controls in place to provide a safe and secure workplace.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
Bachelor's degree in HumanResources, Risk Management, or related studies preferred. Or, equivalent work experience.
3+ years of humanresourcesgeneralist duties or other related business experience preferred. The ideal candidate should be familiar with behavioral interviewing, employee training, employee relations - in a unionize environment, fair compensation standards, diversity sourcing and management development.
Must exhibit sound judgment in decision making and problem solving.
Have strong conflict management skills.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support the HumanResources team during our summer Denali operations by delivering excellent HR services across all Northern Hospitality Group locations in the Denali area. Those locations are: 49th State Brewing, Prospectors Pizza, tAKo Cantina, & Crows Nest Cabins. The HR Assistant plays a crucial role in assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. The HR Assistant will work closely with the HR Manager to maintain smooth HR operations, ensure compliance with company policies, and help foster a culture of respect and teamwork throughout the organization.
This role is Seasonal. However, if the hired candidate performs well, we will do what we can to keep them on within an HR role or to offer an alternate role during the off season. Seasonal employees who perform well also typically receive a job offer at the end of the season to return the following season. As mentioned, this role will be stationed in Denali, typically from mid-late April until mid-late September. We want to fill this role immediately to begin onboarding and training in advance of the Summer Season, therefore, the hired candidate would begin their employment working at our main office location in downtown Anchorage.

For this role, housing in Anchorage would be provided at a rate of $15 per day for a furnished living space including all utilities and internet. About this position: HumanResources Director
We are seeking an experienced HumanResources leader to scale and grow our humanresources function during an exciting period of growth and transformation. This role will oversee day-to-day HR operations while providing strategic leadership to the teams that support employees across the BSNC family of companies. The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, a collaborative leadership style, and a proven ability to build durable HumanResources infrastructure.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Advance a people-first culture by designing and delivering innovative HR strategies that strengthen engagement, performance, and organizational effectiveness
Lead and empower the HR team to operate as strategic partners with all stakeholders in BSNC.
Oversee the full spectrum of HR programs: compensation, benefits, employee experience, workforce well-being, performance management, investigations, and employee relations.
Focus on compliance and risk-mitigation in all HR processes while proactively shaping policies and practices that support a legally sound workplace.
Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership by providing workforce analytics, emerging workforce trends, and industry best practices.
HRIS Implementation & System Management -- Lead implementation to include oversight of continuing use and partnership with stakeholders.
Monitor and interpret developments in employment law, workforce trends, and labor market shifts, proactively advising leadership and adapting policies to maintain a competitive and compliant workforce
Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in related field (humanresources management, management, business administration, etc.)
Level of Experience Requirements:
* Ten (10) or more years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in HR operations and management.
* Previous experience in a multi-company, or large company environment doing business with the federal government. Some experience with government contracting, including SCA, DBA, wage determinations, unions, and associated regulations and requirements.
* Proven experience leading HRIS implementations, preferably UKG or similar enterprise systems
* Demonstrated success building HR infrastructure in growing or transforming organizations
* Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple competing priorities
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence without authority
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Knowledge of business and management principles involved strategic planning, resource allocation, humanresources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to solve problems and find solutions and provide conclusions or approaches to the job and issues.
Must be approachable, optimistic, and express a can-do attitude and handle disagreement or criticism professionally and with an open mind.
Knowledge of principles and procedures for recruitment, talent management, selection, training, compensation and benefits, and humanresources information systems.
Thorough knowledge of HumanResources, disciplines and best practices; applicable Federal and state employment laws such as Title VII, EEOC, ADEA, FMLA, SCA, DBA, US DOL Wage and Hour, USERRA, ADA, ERISA, and FLSA.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Highly proficient in the usage of computer software, including Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlooks, PowerPoint).
Preferred
Professional in HumanResources (PHR) certification.
Prior experience working with an Alaska Native Corporation.
