Responsibilities
The Operation Specialist is a full-time, 12-month position that reports to the Executive Director of the Mississippi Delta National Heritage Area (MDNHA). MDNHA, a partnership with the National Park Service, is one of 55 National Heritage Areas designated by Congress. MDNHA's mission is to preserve, promote, and celebrate the Mississippi Delta's rich cultural heritage while supporting sustainable economic development. Its work centers on five interrelated themes: (1) The Mississippi River and the Land It Embraces; (2) The Culture of the Blues and the Birth of an American Sound; (3) Moving Toward Freedom: Changing America's Character in the Struggle for Rights; (4) Growing More Than Cotton: The Delta as a Wellspring of Creativity; and (5) The Delta Divide: Creating the Delta's Diverse Communities. * Support MDNHA's communications and information systems by maintaining Facebook and Constant Contact, and managing day-to-day website oversight by working closely with website provider.
* Coordinate office management procedures, including staff attendance records, procurement processes, inventory, and travel reimbursements.
* Manage office logistics, such as preparing requisitions, ordering supplies, coordinating vendor services, and troubleshooting technology issues.
* Plan and coordinate logistics for quarterly MDNHA board meetings, including securing meeting locations, preparing and distributing board packets, managing RSVPs, and providing on-site support as needed.
* Travel to coordinate quarterly board meetings, grantee site visits, and meetings that support program development and partner engagement.
* Assist Executive Director and Fiscal Manager in preparing reports for local, regional, and national funders.
* Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems to ensure documentation integrity and easy retrieval of program-related materials.
* Oversee general office communications, including answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, drafting routine correspondence, and routing information to board members and staff.
* Provide administrative support for MDNHA projects and events, including scheduling, registration assistance, and on-site logistics.
* Perform additional administrative and operational tasks as needed to support MDNHA's mission and staff.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree preferred or demonstrated experience in office administrative management.
* Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Office, with experience in Banner preferred.
* Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills; including experience working with multiple stakeholders and ability to navigate cultural dynamics within the Mississippi Delta.
* Knowledge of heritage tourism, historic preservation, and cultural interpretation preferred.
* Ability to travel regionally, nationally, and occasionally internationally.

Who We're Looking ForWe are looking for motivated college students who want hands-on experience inside the day-to-day operation of a professional baseball team.
As a Food & Beverage Operations Intern, you will be part of the team responsible for keeping Trustmark Park running on game days and event nights. You will work closely with our Food & Beverage staff and learn how a large-scale sports hospitality operation functions from the ground up.
This is a seasonal internship that runs for the duration of the baseball season.
What You'll Do
Assist concession stands to help deliver an exceptional fan experience.
Support daily setup and cleanup of all food and beverage operations throughout the stadium.
Work closely with the Food & Beverage team on food and beverage orders, preparation, and waste management.
Assist with inventory management and stocking of concession areas.
Help maintain the appearance, organization, and cleanliness of all food and beverage spaces.
Learn pricing, menu options, and POS systems used throughout the ballpark.
Follow all team policies, procedures, and uniform requirements.
Assist with tarp pulls as needed, including non-game days, weekends, and holidays.
Help support special events and non-game day activities at the ballpark.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Manager of Hospitality and Special Events.
