Job Summary
Our busy multi-season rustic lodge and lake resort, featuring rental cabins, a campground, and marina is seeking a hard-working, self-motivated RestaurantManager to join our team.
This person will be responsible for overall operations of the resort bar and restaurant. This includes adhering to our restaurant's policies and procedures, managing all bar and restaurant staff, and operations of the Restaurant, Bar, Pizza, Ice Cream, and Coffee Bar. The RestaurantManager will ensure that staff remains compliant with all local, state and federal laws, and that customers' needs are promptly attended to in providing a great experience.

Responsibilities
The RestaurantManager is responsible for overseeing the daily food and beverage service within the lodge's restaurant operations, ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience.
This role ensures that all food and beverage services are delivered in line with resort standards, including service quality and safety compliance, while working to exceed guest expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the front of house staff including bartenders, servers, bussers, baristas and other relevant team members as directed to ensure consistent and high-quality service execution.
Assist in the hiring of front of house staff including bartenders, servers, bussers, baristas and other required team members.
Provide exceptional food and beverage service to guests, adhering to Elk Lake Resort's standards of service and excellence.
Ensure guest orders are accurately executed and delivered promptly.
Monitor the reservation book to stay informed about shift functions, special notes, and events.
Complete opening and closing procedures for breakfast, lunch, or dinner shifts, depending on schedule.
Ensure daily side work and assignments are completed, maintaining orderly and sanitary work areas.
Assist in the training and development of service staff, ensuring a well-trained team that upholds service excellence. Participate in and as directed, lead staff meetings, daily line-ups, weekly service training meetings, and special training sessions.
Help implement various training programs to maintain a skilled staff and drive guest satisfaction and retention.
Construct and maintain accurate menus both printed for use in-house and within the point of sale system (Toast)
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menus, including daily features and specials not listed on the menu.
Have clear knowledge of the resort's liquor, beer, and wine offerings.
Record any necessary information or tasks in the log to pass on to the next shift.
Communicate with team guests and supervisors about any updates, shifts, or special instructions to ensure smooth operations.
Work hand-in-hand with the Head Chef to ensure front and back of house operations are in sync
Help track and achieve revenue and profitability targets as outlined by management.

Required

Preferred certifications include OLCC Service Permit, Food Handlers Certificate, Alcohol Safety, STAR Service Certification, STAR Trainer Certification, TABC Certification, and CPR Certification.

Lead the operations of housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and front desk departments to maximize financial performance and guest satisfaction while upholding brand standards and driving the Resolute Road Hospitality's culture
Ensure all departments are profitable and maintain strong working relationships
Delegate authority and assign responsibility to reporting managers and supervisors; and supervise work activities of their departments
Ensure direct report staff receive proper training for each position, including safety training and standard operating procedures
Conduct regular department meetings

Respond to guest/employee requests and complaints timely, efficiently, appropriately and in a friendly manner

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
TIPS(Training for Intervention Procedures) certification required or must be obtained prior to employment
Associate degree in Hotel/RestaurantManagement, Business Administration, orManagementor similar degree (required), or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two to four years' experience in hospitality industry (required), five to seven years' experience (preferred)
Previous supervisory experience (required). Previous hotel “brand” experience (preferred)
Possess advanced knowledge of hospitality industry and business management fields
Basic to advanced knowledge of labor analysis and monthly financial analysis
Knowledge of sales process, client base, and general market knowledge
Knowledge of revenue management and ability to successfully forecast business on both short-term and long-term basis
SKILLS & INTANGIBLES

Possesses the leadership qualities necessary to coach crew on restaurant policies, standards, and customer service.
Strong knowledge and application of safe food handling practices.
ServSafe certified or approved equivalent.
Strong hospitality and customer service skills.
Ability to work in and out of different temperature ranges, stand for long periods of time, work around possible allergens, and lift up to 50 pounds.
