The Melt Bay Technical Specialist is responsible for leading and optimizing the melt bay operations within the cast house, with a strategic focus on the efficient use of aluminum scrap metal. This role drives profitability by improving scrap utilization, reducing inventory levels, and implementing best practices across melt operations. This role will oversee, coach, and train hourly employees to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality casting processes.
Basic Qualifications:
GED or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Minimum 5 years of experience in aluminum casting or melt operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong understanding of aluminum scrap types, melt practices, and casting processes.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach teams.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). In this role you will
Oversee Strategic scrap utilization:
Develop and implement strategies for the optimal use of aluminum scrap metal in casting operations.
Monitor and analyze scrap inventory levels to identify opportunities for reduction and improved utilization.
Create and implement best practices for
Collaborate with Production Leadership, Supply Chain and other resources to align scrap usage with production goals and cost targets.
Operational Leadership:
Supervise daily melt bay operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance melt efficiency and reduce waste.
Conduct Kaizen events with all departments to develop a strategic scrap recover loop.
Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for scrap handling and melt processes.
Team Development:
Coach, train, and mentor hourly cast house employees to build technical skills and operational knowledge.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety.
Conduct performance evaluations and support career development for team members.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
Utilize production data and KPIs to drive decisions and track progress toward operational goals.
Prepare reports and present findings to senior leadership on scrap utilization and melt bay performance.

Basic Qualifications

Run basic SQL queries in a data warehouse environment to validate data, investigate issues, or support reporting needs.
Process Improvement and Collaboration:
Identify and recommend operational enhancements to improve platform efficiency and user experience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data workflows align with business requirements.
Contribute to the development of best practices for platform operations, data quality, and user support.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in an operational, support, or platform-focused role, preferably in a data or analytics environment.
Proficiency with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting data workflows or pipelines.
Basic understanding of data quality, data validation, and operational monitoring practices.

Position Summary:
Individuals within the Endpoint Support role are primarily responsible for operational support of endpoint devices used within the organization. In order to provide optimum services and solutions, these individuals partner with end user device engineers to understand user needs, resolve problems, and implement/support approved technical solutions. These individuals provide initial setups and support of endpoint devices. They troubleshoot IT-related problems and provide input/recommendations to endpoint hardware and software technologies. Endpoint Support staff members support all policies, procedures, and standards for delivery and implementation. They may also perform a wide host of general management and administrative responsibilities.
The Endpoint Support Technician-II role in our Distribution Centers is vital for maintaining and enhancing operational efficiency. Providing local and dedicated support for device management and timely upgrades, this position minimizes downtime and prevents operational disruptions by being able to quickly resolve IT-related issues, which helps maintain smooth workflows and timely order processing for our Distribution Centers. Local support ensures Cencora's team members receive immediate assistance with technical difficulties enhancing overall productivity and service quality.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Work Complexity:
Provides complex maintenance and support for endpoint devices.
Works on multiple projects/work initiatives/tasks concurrently as team member, sometimes as a technical lead.
Business/Technical Requirements:
Works with end user device engineers and customers (internal, external, and vendors) to understand user's Endpoint Support requirements.
Provides feedback regarding requirements and provides recommendations.
Project/Task Planning:
Participates or may lead short-term Endpoint Support project/task planning efforts with team members, customers and other IT groups.
Provides input to cost/time estimates.
Documents discussion and agreements.
Deployment:
Coordinates the deployment of new or upgraded images, software and hardware for multiple endpoints.
Plans and schedules the installation and deployment projects.
Participates in deployment of new or upgrade information technology and infrastructure projects, including assisting co-workers and vendor partners.
Installs and performs repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
Submits or updates configuration items within management tools.
Develops and documents procedures for performing configuration changes, updates and upgrades.
Testing:
May participate in the unit testing for new deployments or new components and remediates problems.
Provides feedback or remediation approaches on new software performance and testing.
Technical Support:
Performs Level 2 and 3 issue assessment and resolution of problems, working with manufacturers/vendors as needed.
Researches, analyzes and recommends the implementation of software or hardware changes to rectify any problems.
Creates temporary solutions until permanent solutions can be implemented.
Coordinates the resolution of escalated application, hardware and software problems.
Ensures that all technical resources are available for meetings that include video conferencing.
Documents and reviews solutions to common problems and responses for frequently asked questions.
Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery:
Implements contingency plans including reliable backup and restore procedures, as needed.
Research/Evaluation:
May participate in R&D POC efforts.
May provide recommendations per customer feedback.

Adheres to policies, procedures and standards.
Makes suggestions for policies and procedures and standards for Endpoint operational processes.
Inventory/Asset Management:
Supports IT inventory/asset management processes.
Training:
May provide on-the-spot training to end users.
Identifies end-user training needs.
Participate in the development of training materials, as needed.
Coaching/Mentoring:
Provides coaching and guidance to team members.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, certifications or equivalent work experience.
Typically has 3-5 years in functional position or related work experience, education or training.

Applications Specialist, Sports & Indoor An Applications Specialist for our Sports and Indoor Division. This position will be a key part of the Sports and Indoor Division reporting directly to the Sports and Indoor Operations Manager, Tyler Kuemmerle.

The primary goal of the position is to provide the internal support necessary to assist the external sales and management team, as well as the dealer network on sports and indoor projects. Responsibilities
* Watchfire applications expert for Sports and Indoor opportunities.
* Serve as product and quoting expert for Insides Sales support team, SDR's and Territory Managers for sports and indoor opportunities. Assist in quote generation.
* Identify upsell opportunities with each project and consult with Territory Managers, as needed.
* Assist in upkeep and implementation of quoting system.
* Work alongside marketing and S&I team members preparing formal proposals.
* Assist in the setup and scheduling of demonstration equipment shipments to territory managers.
* Help in managing the buildout of the S&I Demonstration area as well as future upkeep and expansions.
* Enter and update sports opportunities, in Salesforce, identified by Sports and Indoor staff or TM's.
* Request renderings, as needed, on behalf of Sports and Indoor staff, TMs, and Dealers.
* Upon receipt of customer purchase orders, convert opportunity and coordinate order entry and purchase order requirements.
* Assist with creation and distribution of Sports and Indoor reports.
* Work closely with entire Sports and Indoor team to help achieve sales revenue targets
Required Qualifications/Skills:
* Superior organizational skills required
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
* Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to prepare formal proposals and presentations
* Professional demeanor with customers and vendors
* Prefer proficiency in Salesforce. Experience in other CRM's us acceptable.
* Proficiency in the key Microsoft programs: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Prefer experience reviewing bid documents and preparing responses to formal RFPs
* Experience in the LED display and/or scoreboard market is preferred
* General knowledge of construction project management is preferred
