You will be completing hardware part replacements for Dell and Lenovo warranty services. Pay period -every Friday after the first week of completing tickets. You must have a reliable form of transportation to run these calls. You must have access to a computer and the internet to log onto your portal. Tickets are run Monday through Friday. You must be able to log into your tech portal every workday by 9 am to accept, code (update status), and map out your calls. You will be responsible for contacting your customers and confirming a window to go onsite to complete the service. Parts will be provided for you by the manufacturers. They are typically held at FedEx for you to pick up in the morning. You will be provided with shipping labels and materials to return the removed parts.

The main function of a Data Center Technician is to monitor software to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to operating instructions. * Data Center Technician will perform assigned tasks and escalates issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations * Leverages process knowledge and best judgment to complete next task without direct supervision * Coordinates, prepares, and executes incoming/outgoing deliveries (e.g. purchase order [PO] receiving, Rack Movement Supervisor [RMS] activities) * Ensures complete and detailed physical inventory tracking and staging * Performs inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and various Data Center regulatory compliance or certification control audit activity * Performs material movement, including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard process * Ensures detailed physical inventory tracking and staging * Performs destruction of data bearing devices (DBD) following all documented procedures and runbooks * As a Data Center Technician, you will monitor the system for equipment failure or errors in performance * Respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program * Help programmers and systems analysts test and debug new programs * Operate spreadsheet programs and other types of software to load and manipulate data and to produce reports* High School diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience in warehouse/supply chain, information technology (IT) environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field * Associate's degree in Computer Programming or equivalent training required * 0-2 years of experience required * Previous experience working in a data center environment; If required, Team Manager of 5-10 supplier resources * Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills * Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) * Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time
