Summary: Receive, investigate and respond to all customer inquiries regarding shipments, products, and customer concerns. Complete assigned outbound sales calls. Input/upload orders and relative data into our company ERP system.
Role and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Handle customer concerns in a professional manner
Communicate with customers concerning orders, returns, shipments and products
Call customers to advise shipments delay and/or information necessary to process orders
Manage and maintain open customer orders and customer profile information
Support product service and warranty as needed
Initiate sale of existing and new products as well as additional services offered
Share customer feedback with manager
May recommend alternative products based on cost, availability, or specifications.
Provide additional support such as maintaining literature and promotional materials, billing on directs, and ordering displays, possible product procurement responsibilities, etc.
Plans and paces own work efficiency to meet daily, weekly, customer, or team related productivity goals. Will periodically review and revise the approved goals. Effectively uses customer service to promote greater product penetration and higher service levels.
Partners with our Safety Department and Operations Leadership to promote and ensure a safe work environment and ensure all safety precautions are met.
Support walk-in customers with product selection and orders
Periodically makes "face-to-face" calls on accounts to improve and strengthen the business relationship, solicit marketing information, settle complaints, or to determine sales potential. May also attend on and off-premises business-related functions such as company product shows, dealer/contractor meetings, association events, training sessions, mill tours, etc.
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Education Requirements: Position requires a High School diploma or GED; prefers an associates degree in business, sales, or related field, two or more years of experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications: The individual must be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills as well as proven customer service. Must be detail oriented with strong organizational, negotiating and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work under minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks and interact with others in a professional manner. Individual must be able to have experience in supporting and facilitating the sales process. Must have proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills. Knowledge of the Building/Construction Industry a plus

Regularly track and analyze your personal performance metrics, including appointments scheduled, calls made, sales achieved, and customer engagements.
Be receptive to coaching and work closely with the Sales Development Manager to improve departmental success.
Ensure complete customer satisfaction by helping to proactively manage online reputation through review sites and social media outlets.
Collaborate with sales team to ensure total department symbiosis and ensure a seamless journey from initial contact to sale.

The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below. This position is eligible for variable compensation in addition to base pay. Help the branch build its sales including the new business component by helping to maintain house accounts through active Dealer communication of new product launches, services, supplies, prices, and new products sales and or discounts via outbound calls and in house counter discussions. Daily processing of cash drawer, end of shift count of money. prepare deposit slip and place in safe.
Periodically reach out to customers to determine satisfaction with the organization, products, and services
Monitor competitive activity and trends within territory.
Maintain records and prepare reports on sales activities.
Expand knowledge of HVAC products and keep current with latest trends within the industry.
Work positively with all levels of management and peers to ensure all areas and departments are kept up to speed and are working as an effective team to deliver the highest level of service possible.
Understand and follow work instructions, operating procedures, and company policies.
May travel to customer location to follow-up, make presentations or perform demonstrations.
Assist in warehouse as needed, including inventory counts and movement of product including operating a forklift.

We are proud our sales consultants earn an average annual salary of $40,000 to $64,000, combining a base hourly rate plus uncapped commission. We provide paid training and a guaranteed ramp-up rate during your first 60 days of employment.
Employees accrue paid time off each pay period at a rate of no less than 40 hours per year for their first year and 80 hours per year each year thereafter. You are entitled to minimum requirements for paid sick leave under appropriate state law if applicable.
